Our Areas Of Expertise
Infant & Toddler
Infant Programmes For 2 To 17 Months
We recognise the need for fine nurturing and dedicated supervision of a child during the infant stages. With trained professionals specialising in infant development and state registered nurses, we are well-staffed to look after their growing and developmental needs. Our infant care centres are aesthetically designed and fitted to ensure optimal safety and protection of our infants while maximising their learning capabilities.
Toddler Programme For 18 – 30 Months
Toddlers’ learning capitalizes on the nature of children to be active, inquisitive and exploratory learners who learn through sensory and tactile stimulations. A warm, conducive and stimulating environment that is rich in responsive interactions and relationships is key to promoting and developing the children’s expressive language and communications, affective and physical growth. Routines and transition support children’s efforts in adapting to group care setting, and in developing autonomy and self-help skills.
Nursery (N1 + N2)
Nursery One For 30 Months To 3 Years
The Nursery 1 curriculum continues to reinforce the development of expressive language, communication and vocabulary skills. Large and fine muscles development is more actively promoted alongside personal, emotional and social development. Carefully structured as well as emergent experiences occurring through daily interactions, play situations, routines and transitions continue to support children’s language and cognitive growth. The environment promotes learning through active exploration, sensory and tactile stimulations. Children in Nursery 1 begin to acquire increased awareness of numbers, explore sounds and letters of the alphabet and develop interest in books and reading.
Nursery Two For 3 To 4 Years
Emphasis shifts from emergent strategies of the early years to purposeful acquisition and understanding of content, skills and concepts, leading to interdisciplinary learning experiences at the Nursery 2 level. Curriculum reinforces children’s increasing competencies in language as a tool for learning and communications. Reading, phonics and numeracy skills are introduced to promote the children’s emergent capacity for acquiring skills. Physical skills are more sophisticated enabling children to begin practicing writing through manipulative and prewriting experiences. Expectations for personal and social development continue to be prioritized resulting in even greater autonomy and independence, enhanced self-help skills, self-concept and confidence.
Kindergarten (K1 + K2)
Kindergarten One For 4 To 5 Years
Curriculum capitalizes on children’s increased capacity for learning content and knowledge thus intellectual development, acquisition of skills and concepts are actively promoted, though process learning remains an important learning goal.
The Kindergarten 1 children are more confident and articulate in using language in expressing and presenting their ideas. Curriculum actively promotes purposeful vocabulary, reading and writing experiences through integrated learning experiences and projects. Children gain a better understanding of numeracy and mathematical concepts. Exposure to technology, awareness of environment and community, and physical skills are more enhanced and sophisticated. Personal and social development continues to be emphasized as children exhibit a better understanding of social etiquettes, right and wrong, and appreciation for rules.
Kindergarten Two For 5 To 6 Years
With the considerable progress and advancement in language and numearcy skills, Kindergarten 2 children are now more proficient in communication, reading and writing, and use these skills as the means for presenting ideas, knowledge and as a tool for learning content, concepts and skills. They begin to develop a greater perspective and appreciation of large-scale environmental and community issues. With increased social and emotional maturity, children continue to work collaboratively in projects, engaged in critical thinking and meaningful explorations of ideas and concepts through problem solving, inquiry, investigations, and research. By the end of the K2 year, children are independent, confident, articulate, creative thinkers who are appreciative of the world – and are equipped with the life skills and attitudes that are prerequisites for school readiness and life success.
